General Anesthesia

For patients with severe dental anxiety, this type of sedation makes visits less stressful. It is also good for patients with special needs or complex treatment plans like oral surgery or dental implants. General anesthesia can be administered as an inhaled gas or injected liquid, the potency of which is determined by the needs of the patient. This type of sedation makes the patient completely relaxed, and often free from any memory of the procedure. There are many advantages of general anesthesia. Firstly, the depth of sedation can be altered at any time. There are no after effects and it works quickly (in as few as 2-3 minutes) leaving you relaxed and pain free. This is often a preferred method of sedation for many of our patients.
