Dental Cleanings and Exams
A crucial part of oral care is keeping up with routine dental exams and teeth cleanings every six months. These services allow us to detect oral health issues, such as cavities and gum disease, and address them before they worsen and become more complex and costly to treat.
During these appointments, our dentists and hygienists check the condition of your teeth and see how well you're keeping up with your daily oral hygiene. If we notice any neglected areas, we'll give you helpful, judgment-free tips for improving them.
If you are new to CDIC, we'll take some x-rays to check inside your teeth and below the gums for issues that aren't visible to the naked eye.
Protect Your Family's Smiles with Fluoride and Dental Sealants
To combat cavities, our dentists highly recommend using fluoride dental products at home. In addition, CDIC offers professional fluoride treatments and protective dental sealants to keep your family's teeth healthy and strong.
Fluoride Treatments
Most over-the-counter toothpaste already contains some fluoride, and your tap water is likely fluoridated, too; however, the amounts may not be sufficient to protect your family's teeth.
At CDIC, we offer fluoride treatments for patients whose teeth need a bit of extra protection. Sufficient fluoride is especially crucial for children to maintain strong, healthy teeth. Developing teeth require special care and attention to ensure that your child enjoys healthy smiles for life.
Protective Dental Sealants
Of course, we advocate for proper oral health, including brushing, flossing, and visiting the dentist. However, we know kids don't always listen to our advice, which puts their oral health at risk. So, we offer protective dental sealants that could benefit your child's teeth during their tween and teen years and have lifelong oral health benefits.
A dental sealant is a thin plastic coating applied to the rough surfaces of permanent molars or premolars. Sealants create a smooth surface to prevent bacteria from collecting in the tooth's crevices and causing cavities. Sealants help avoid tooth damage that could result in the need for fillings or crowns in the future.
Solutions for Broken and Missing Teeth
Even with the best oral care, teeth can wear and break down. Our natural-looking dental crowns stabilize cracked, decayed, and broken teeth without affecting your smile's aesthetic beauty. Our dentists expertly customize natural-looking dental crowns to protect damaged teeth and provide many more years of use.
Missing teeth are a significant problem, but at CDIC, we've got you covered. We design beautiful, lifelike dental bridges and full and partial dentures to restore your smile. If you want a longer-term solution for missing teeth, we also offer dental implant placement and restoration.
Tooth-Colored Fillings
It's vital to maintain healthy teeth and gums, but we also know how important a gorgeous smile is to our patients. Unlike noticeable silver amalgam fillings, our tooth-colored composite fillings contain resin, silica, and glass particles, resulting in a material that closely resembles the appearance of tooth enamel.
When we color-match the filling to the exact shade of surrounding teeth, we can create an invisible tooth repair. If you think you have a cavity, call us so we can help you promptly before the decay spreads and causes more damage.

General Dentistry Technology
Digital X-Rays & Digital Sensors
With digital x-rays, we can identify and diagnose minor tooth problems like cavities and gum disease before they become painful and more complex to treat. At CDIC, we use modern digital x-rays because they emit a low radiation dose of 80–90% less than older film x-rays.
Another benefit of digital x-rays is that they are a fantastic educational tool to inform our patients about their oral health. When we display your digital x-rays on the chairside monitor, we can show you the problem area, and you can understand how treatment will benefit you.
We also improve the comfort of taking digital x-rays because we use flat digital sensors to capture images instead of bulky clips. Since the images and our patient records are digital, we store them in your patient history, and our team can view them as needed.
Since no harsh chemicals are needed to process films, digital x-rays are also safer for our environment.
Intraoral Cameras
An intraoral camera is a small handheld digital device that is the size and shape of a large pen. The tiny camera is equipped with a light that illuminates the inside of the mouth, and the full-color images are transmitted to your chairside monitor for viewing.
As we move it over your teeth, the intraoral camera gives you and our dentist a magnified view of your teeth. We can also freeze the image and magnify it more than 30x so we can view a single tooth with you, and you can see it from every aspect.
An intraoral camera shows us many conditions in greater detail than a visual exam alone and provides:
- Tooth surfaces
- Gum disease
- Cavities
- Damaged or broken fillings
- Hairline tooth fractures
Intraoral cameras allow you to visualize oral health conditions so you can better understand how they affect your oral health and the benefit of treating them. They also allow our dentists to detect problems like cavities in their earliest stages when treatment is typically less complex and costly.
